Prof. Pastore was born in 1949 in São Paulo, Brazil; he graduated in Medicine by Faculdade de Medicina do ABC (1974), got his PhD in Cardiology (1992) and was approved as associate professor (2004) by the São Paulo University Pneumocardiology Department, for which he lectures as a medical collaborator and orients post graduation and post doctorate students. Since 2007 his position is Director of Medical Services with the Board of Directors of the Heart Institute (InCor) - HC-FMUSP, for which he started working in 1977 as Assistant Physician, then Supervisor and, during the last years, as Head of the Electrocardiology Department. He is the vice-president of a Group of Studies on Electrocardiography of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology. He is a professor of Human Physiology at the Psychology School of Universidade Paulista - UNIP, and the clinical director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases of Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz. Prof. Pastore has several books and book chapters published in the field of Electrocardiology, Physiology, and also a book comprising many of his daily communication “Dicas de Saúde” (Health Tips) broadcast on Radio Eldorado, in São Paulo, Brazil.
