Curriculum of Dr. Milind Y. Desai

- Milind Desai, MD, is a staff cardiologist in the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging, the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, at the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
- He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology.
- Received his medical degree from NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, India. Throughout his academic training.
- Was honored for his academic excellence. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
- He continued his clinical training with a fellowship in nuclear cardiology from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, a fellowship in general cardiology from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, a fellowship in general cardiology and cardiovascular imaging from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and a fellowship in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging from the National Institutes of Health in Maryland.
- He is a reviewer multiple journals including Nature Medicine, Circulation, Journal of American College of Cardiology, JACC Imaging, Circulation imaging, ATVB, Heart, American Journal of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, and JCCT.
- He is a guest editor for JACC and on editorial board of JACC imaging and Journal of Cardiac CT. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association (AHA), Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance, Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (SCCT), and European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
- He also serves as an abstract grader for AHA, ESC and SCCT. He has been nominated as FACC, FAHA and FESC by the respective organizations.
