Estimados colegas:

Dear colleagues:
These months of Congress have been of extraordinary value, since I am a Cardiologist recently trained, and besides, a lover of informatics, and could not imagine the magnitude that this event would have. And I am sure about one thing: that this List has greatly contributed to this result, with one of the most important topics within current Cardiology.
I became a supporter of the event between my colleagues, and I won several affiliates, but I am not satisfied because I think that the valuable scientific information that is still circulating along its pages, should reach much more physicians with one goal alone: to upgrade the quality of medical assistance that we provide to our patients.
The list, just as you propose, should be kept permanently as a means for exchange, collaboration, and consult between all those who
share the noble mission of curing diseased hearts, in due time new projects will come up among its members that will prevent the monotony of routine to extinguish it.
Congratulations for the effort put into practice and do not flag in your determination.
Hugs,
Dr. Hugo Escobar Varela.
Cardiologo.

Reenvio al Foro esta pregunta del Dr. Manoel de Sousa Carmo Junior

"Caro Dr. Armando Pacher:

I forward to the Forum this question from Dr. Manoel de Sousa Carmo Junior

"Dear Dr. Armando Pacher:
I am a cardiologist, and have a question, that has been worrying me for some days:
...I have a 52-year-old patient, female, who was a smoker in the past; a mammary bypass was performed on her on December 1989, later a saphenous bypass in 1996 due to coronary obstruction in both cases; now the patient is complaining about pains in the left thoracic region, with a radiography atelectasis was verified, and from afterwards respiratory studies, many bronchospasms; now, in regard to her treatment that is controlled by beta-blockers (patient with sinus bradycardia) and since it is possible to make a physiotherapy-based treatment for her pulmonary problem: how the cardiac problem should be treated since beta blockers such as propranolol have adverse effects directly over the pulmonary problem?
Thank you very much,
Manoel de Sousa Carmo Junior."
