As analogous of an ejection pump, Dr. Batista's idea of diminishing the size of the ventricular chamber in patients with heart
failure by dilated heart disease, with the aim of decreasing tension on the wall, reducing the percentage of energy invested during
contraction in keeping tension, and to employ it in contractile strength, it is very interesting. Does an ideal volume of final
chamber exist? Is it related to body surface? Is there a formula that relates tension in the patient vs. the stripe of tissue to be
extracted? I would like to hear the commentaries you have about this particular topic.
