Rachad M Shoucri has a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1964, and a PhD in theoretical physics from Laval University, Québec City, in 1975. After graduation he worked for five years as an analyst at Hôpital Laval, Québec City, where he became interested in mathematical physiology and cardiac dynamics. Since 1981 he is with the department of mathematics and computer science, Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His current interest is in mathematical physiololy and theoretical  physics.
